The TPM has picked their candidates this year and surprise surprise, they are mostly Republicans. Showing exactly what I have expected all along, that the TPM are just McCain/Palin supporters who are just upset that McCain lost.

That is all that the TPM is. A Republican fringe conservatory. Issuing mandates for candidates to pass conservative litmus tests. Debating endlessly whether or not that Obama is actually a citizen. Using racist protest signs to show their true colors.

I had hopes personally for the TPM. But they have failed to be a true independent party. They have shown that all they are are a bunch of racist Sarah Palin loving Republicans who have no real desire to change anything. <!--

Birther nutcase Alan Keyes has made several TEA party speeches. This is a dangerous thing for this grass roots movement. In my opinion the TEA party would be much better off if they told Alan Keyes to take a hike. The sane and reasonable people of this country know that Obama is a natural born citizen, was elected fairly, and other than that, it’s hard to defend the man. But one thing is clear, the overwhelming evidence is that Obama is a natural born citizen, and any person that would refute that, doesn’t know the facts, and clearly has some deep issues that should be treated by a professional.

Alan Keyes is best known for several failed presidential bids, and as one of the founding and most vocal people behind the insane conspiracy that Obama was born in Kenya and not eligible for the office of the presidency.

‘Tea party’ hosts Alan Keyes

Conservative celebrity will join local tax protest.

By Kevin Leininger

If Americans want someone to blame for the country’s political and economic problems, they should look in the mirror.

So says Alan Keyes, a nationally known conservative author, speaker and Reagan-era diplomat who will be in Fort Wayne this week to participate in the “Enough Already” tea party scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Allen County Courthouse.

“We’ve let ourselves be manipulated (by politicians), and my hope is that we can revitalize active citizenship,” said Keyes, 58, who as a Republican has run unsuccessfully for political office several times, including the 2004 Illinois Senate race against now-President Barack Obama.

Source: www.news-sentinel.com

Now joining with the TEA party movenment, Keyes threatens to derail what could be a growing and powerful political influence on the 2010 election. The problem is, Keyes does not stand for what the TEA party stands for, he is only hitching a ride on a rising force in America, hoping for a brief glimpse of vindication. If the TEA party is to do anything good for this country, they need to dump this trash by the road and not let these wingnut “birthers” anywhere near the podium.

I am a firm believer that a strong independent political force is the only true way to fix this country and what will ultimately save this country. People with integrity and people that are for what the people of this country need. It has become clear to the American people that neither the Republicans nor Democrats have any interest in fixing this country and only work for the rich and powerful. Obama is not a Socialist, he is a corporate lapdog, and it is clear that the president is only interested in what will help both big business, and continue the expansion of the government that has been going on for the last 30 years.

The danger is, if these wingnut birthers infect the TEA party movement, it will give Republicans and Democrats that much more leverage to continue their power grab and continuous pseudo partisan political clap trap that has divided this country. Any Independent candidate that has serious goals of fixing the mess this country is in would do well to avoid any birther. It’s a dead issue, and one that would only hurt a candidate. My advice to candidates, talk the issues, don’t talk about the made up insanity that the birthers provide. In political terms that is a looser.

I fully expect a major upheaval this year in our legislative branch, Americans are angry, and they don’t want politics as usual. This last election, they voted for change, they didn’t get what they wanted, and now America is collectively pissed off, and it’s all too apparent that our government is completely oblivious to that fact. This is why America is hoping for the TEA party to do something about it.

While I am ranting on what the tea party should be and should not be doing, I also urge the TEA party movement to ditch Sarah Palin, the woman is poison and a quitter. She was a rising star in the conservative movement, but unfortunately it’s all puff. She has no ideas about how to fix this country, and has been riding the “Rogue” mantra without any substance.

Isn’t this supposed to be the function of the SEC? Why should we have a new agency built when one that already exists? Now as I like to report, you should really check out the links and make up your own mind and not take opinions like mine as the truth, but I think that thanks to lobby groups from Wall Street firms, this bill won’t stand a chance of having any real teeth or real effect on the problems on Wall Street that led to the worst economic crash since the great depression.

Full Text

This is what a lot of people have been waiting for. Some legislation that would give the government the ability to have a complete audit of the Federal Reserve Bank. From the establishment of the Federal Reserve Bank, the US government has had absolutely no control over it’s currency. It instead has been literaly making loans dollar after dollar after dollar. Each bill of currency itself is a promissory note to the federal reserve on the behalf of the United States government. Promising repayment.

The odd thing is, without a United States Currency of it’s own, there is no real way that the United States Government can ever pay back the loans taken from the Federal Reserve.

Health Care is not the only thing that Congress has been working on. Here is a short summary of the things that our government has been working on this week. If the people of this country don’t understand what their government is doing they can’t be informed enough to tell their representatives about how they feel on these issues.

S. 1603 – Veterans Education Tuition Support Act of 2009

Title: A bill to amend section 484B of the Higher Education Act of 1965 to provide for tuition reimbursement and loan forgiveness to students who withdraw from an institution of higher education to serve in the uniformed services, and for other purposes.

From what I have read, the jist of this bill is that if you are enrolled in college and you decide to join the armed forces, if this bill passes into law your tuition will be reimbursed and you won’t have to pay back those loans because of your service to our country.

All well and good right? What are your opinions?

Obama promised to do this his first day in office. To close the controversial detention facility at Guantanamo Bay Cuba and to limit the way they interrogate detainees. Those “Enhanced Interogation Techniques” that were authorized by the white house that instructed CIA officers that they could use such torture as waterboarding, firing a gun off next to a blindfolded prisoner, use of a power drill on detainees, and other just nifty and fun techniques in order to try and get information out of people that were there so long that any information garnered from these techniques would be out of date anyway.

I bet you thought that the stimulus bill was a law now huh? I bet you thought it was all over. Nope, now the money has to be distributed to each state. So they have to bring up the bill before congress each time they decide to dole out money to states. But there is a way that you can keep track of all the money that is going out there. You should go to http://www.recovery.gov/. There are tools there you can use to see what money your state is getting, and where it is going. This is important for each American to be concerned about, after all it is your money that is being spent.

This is what people in Michigan have been waiting for. This bill is to provide funding to companies to create clean energy jobs. See in Michigan the Auto companies are pretty much gone. People need to forget about Michigan as the home of the Big 3 and automotive manufacturing jobs. Instead Michigan needs to start really laying the groundwork to make sure that these companies look to the Rust Belt as the new home for these green jobs. Unfortunatly as usual the Unions will destroy any hope Michigan has to create jobs in this state. The greedy Unions will undoubtidly picket any company that actually wants to hire people based on hard work, but instead based on Union connections.

Unions make me sick, it’s the Unions that destroyed the Big 3 in Michigan, it’s the Unions that crippled the nations manufacturing market. If it wasn’t for the Unions companies wouldn’t outsource these jobs overseas and people would be employed. Yes it’s nice to have a decent wage, but honestly if you make it too expensive for the company to actually employ anyone, they will move their manufacturing somewhere where they can get cheaper labor. In the end making a little something is a whole lot better than making a whole lot of nothing and Unions don’t understand this. They in the end ruin any hope Michigan has for the economy here to recover. Thanks UAW, AFL/CIO, you suck.

This is because of Bush. Bush decided to launch a war in Iraq without anyones approval. This bill would fix that problem. So that Presidents allone won’t have the power to start a war without the approval of Congress. We may not be in the war in Iraq today if Congress were the ones that started it instead of the President alone.

So that is what your representatives have been working on this week. If you want to voice your opinion on any of these proposals please write your congressmen. Let them know what you think.
