Birther nutcase Alan Keyes has made several TEA party speeches. This is a dangerous thing for this grass roots movement. In my opinion the TEA party would be much better off if they told Alan Keyes to take a hike. The sane and reasonable people of this country know that Obama is a natural born citizen, was elected fairly, and other than that, it’s hard to defend the man. But one thing is clear, the overwhelming evidence is that Obama is a natural born citizen, and any person that would refute that, doesn’t know the facts, and clearly has some deep issues that should be treated by a professional.
Alan Keyes is best known for several failed presidential bids, and as one of the founding and most vocal people behind the insane conspiracy that Obama was born in Kenya and not eligible for the office of the presidency.

So says Alan Keyes, a nationally known conservative author, speaker and Reagan-era diplomat who will be in Fort Wayne this week to participate in the “Enough Already” tea party scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Allen County Courthouse.
“We’ve let ourselves be manipulated (by politicians), and my hope is that we can revitalize active citizenship,” said Keyes, 58, who as a Republican has run unsuccessfully for political office several times, including the 2004 Illinois Senate race against now-President Barack Obama.
Now joining with the TEA party movenment, Keyes threatens to derail what could be a growing and powerful political influence on the 2010 election. The problem is, Keyes does not stand for what the TEA party stands for, he is only hitching a ride on a rising force in America, hoping for a brief glimpse of vindication. If the TEA party is to do anything good for this country, they need to dump this trash by the road and not let these wingnut “birthers” anywhere near the podium.
I am a firm believer that a strong independent political force is the only true way to fix this country and what will ultimately save this country. People with integrity and people that are for what the people of this country need. It has become clear to the American people that neither the Republicans nor Democrats have any interest in fixing this country and only work for the rich and powerful. Obama is not a Socialist, he is a corporate lapdog, and it is clear that the president is only interested in what will help both big business, and continue the expansion of the government that has been going on for the last 30 years.
The danger is, if these wingnut birthers infect the TEA party movement, it will give Republicans and Democrats that much more leverage to continue their power grab and continuous pseudo partisan political clap trap that has divided this country. Any Independent candidate that has serious goals of fixing the mess this country is in would do well to avoid any birther. It’s a dead issue, and one that would only hurt a candidate. My advice to candidates, talk the issues, don’t talk about the made up insanity that the birthers provide. In political terms that is a looser.
I fully expect a major upheaval this year in our legislative branch, Americans are angry, and they don’t want politics as usual. This last election, they voted for change, they didn’t get what they wanted, and now America is collectively pissed off, and it’s all too apparent that our government is completely oblivious to that fact. This is why America is hoping for the TEA party to do something about it.
While I am ranting on what the tea party should be and should not be doing, I also urge the TEA party movement to ditch Sarah Palin, the woman is poison and a quitter. She was a rising star in the conservative movement, but unfortunately it’s all puff. She has no ideas about how to fix this country, and has been riding the “Rogue” mantra without any substance.
The U.S. House of Representatives has announced the passage of HR 4173, the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009, by a narrow vote of 223-202. Among other enforcements, HR 4173 will create a Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) to regulate the credit and housing industries, places restrictions on executive compensation, and increases the government’s authority when dealing with failing financial institutions.
Does America need a new agency to oversee Wall Street? Isn’t this supposed to be the function of the SEC? Why should we have a new agency built when one that already exists? ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A former Louisiana congressman has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes in exchange for using his influence to broker business deals in Africa.
The sentence handed down Friday in suburban Washington was far less than the nearly 30 years prosecutors had sought for William Jefferson, a Democrat who represented parts of New Orleans.
Agents investigating the case found $90,000 wrapped in foil and hidden in boxes of pie crusts in Jefferson’s freezer.
Prosecutors had asked a judge to sentence him to at least 27 years.
Well let’s see, your a representative for your district, an honorable position, a position of influence and power and you decide that it’s OK to take bribes and for some strange reason you decide the safest place for all those bribes is in your freezer? Really?
I am quickly coming of the opinion that Democrat or Republican both parties need to be kicked out of office and real people need to be elected. People with integrity and honor, who will use their position to better the republic instead of bringing it to ruin.

The eligibility of Obama, still in question by some. Even though Obama did release his Certificate of Live Birth, which was verified by the State of Hawaii and is currently published on the web for everyone to view and download. There are those out there that still believe that Obama is not a natural born American citizen and therefore not eligible to hold the office of the President of the United States.
The political website FactCheck.org has weighed in on this and have found that the Certificate of Live Birth released by Obama is indeed genuine.
In June, the Obama campaign released a digitally scanned image of his birth certificate to quell speculative charges that he might not be a natural-born citizen. But the image prompted more blog-based skepticism about the document’s authenticity. And recently, author Jerome Corsi, whose book attacks Obama, said in a TV interview that the birth certificate the campaign has is “fake.”
We beg to differ. FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as “supporting documents” to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.
Update, Nov. 1: The director of Hawaii’s Department of Health confirmed Oct. 31 that Obama was born in Honolulu.
To add, Snoops.com also took on this issue and found that no foul play is involved, that Obama was indeed born in Hawaii and therefore completely qualified to be the President.
Lastly, PolitiFact.com weighed in on this issue and has found that there is no basis for belief that Obama was born anywhere else but Hawaii and is therefore completely eligible for the office of President.

SUMMARY: Since we published Obama’s birth certificate, questions about its authenticity have been frequent and fierce. After reviewing the evidence, we’re confident in our rulings.
At PolitiFact.com, we’re all about original sources. We don’t take anyone at their word or take the reporting of other media organizations as proof. We go to the heart of the story, the source of the truth — original, corroborating documents.
When the official documents were questioned, we went looking for more answers. We circled back to the Department of Health, had a newsroom colleague bring in her own Hawaii birth certificate to see if it looks the same (it’s identical). But every answer triggered more questions.
And soon enough, after going to every length possible to confirm the birth certificate’s authenticity, you start asking, what is reasonable here?
Because if this document is forged, then they all are.
If this document is forged, a U.S. senator and his presidential campaign have perpetrated a vast, long-term fraud. They have done it with conspiring officials at the Hawaii Department of Health, the Cook County (Ill.) Bureau of Vital Statistics, the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois and many other government agencies.

All three websites confirm the same thing. The COLB that Obama released to the public is genuine, legitimate and confirms that he is indeed eligible for the office. This should have ended this conspiracy right there right?
Oh unfortunately WRONG! This only threw jet fuel on the fire. The conservative tabloid website WND continues to try and bring up the worlds worst conspiracy theory. They have in fact posted themselves a faked birth certificate that they claimed was Obama’s origional Kenyan Birth Certificate proving once and for all that Obama was born in Kenya and therefore not eligible for the office in which he was elected.
You would think that once WND had this egg on it’s face it would stop this complete bull right? Again I am sorry readers WRONG again. They continue to push this conspiracy theory beyond the realms of reality to pure fiction and idiocy. Now as I said before, I frequent a message board a lot AboveTopSecret.com (ATS) and to let you know, I feel that this website is one of the finest on the net. I enjoy posting there and feel that the vast majority of the membership is highly intelligent and are good people. However when I discuss this particular issue on the board, I get some routine questions that are asked, repeatedly over and over again ad nauseum. So in a concerned effort to save my hands from the debilitating effects of acute carpel tunnel syndrome, I will instead write the arguments down here, and thus be able to link straight to this blog instead of re typing what I have already said.
1. Why doesn’t he show his Birth Certificate already and be done with it?
A. Obama already has, It’s on the internet right now for anyone to view and download if they wish. A link is available in this particular post itself for anyone who still has questions still to download and examine for themselves. Furthermore Chiyome Fukino verified that the state of Hawaii has Obama’s Original birth certificate on file.

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record.
“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
“No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai‘i.”
This question itself brings up something interesting, here we are, American citizens some of which (by one estimation 400,000 which indecently is less than .015% of the population.) don’t believe that the president of the United States is eligible for office, or in fact was born in the United States. Well this small percentage of the population want’s Obama to give up his 4th Amendment protection against unwarranted searches and seizures.
People that believe this total hogwash don’t understand that Obama is a citizen of this country first and the President second. He is protected under all of the same constitutional protections that we all are. To take away this all important protection from the president is to take it away from each of us.
2. Obama has spent $1.4 million dollars on lawyer fees to block the birth certificate.
Lawyers aren’t cheap. It’s true. Obama also has the absolute right to defend himself. Even as President, Obama has the right to council. This is protected under the 6th Amendment. The truth is, Obama’s lawyers should recoup legal fees from each of these nutcases for the waste of America’s time in having to deal with this idiocy. Each time an Obama lawyer has to show up to a court case that has to do with this moronic conspiracy it costs. This does not actually come out of taxpayer money, this comes from the President’s pocket.
3. I had to provide my birth certificate for my Job/Drivers Licence/Whatever
Yes you did, but did you have to show that document to everyone in the DMV line or to everyone at the workplace? No you didn’t. You showed it to a person that was legally authorized to view it. In the case of Obama it was Nancy Pelosi who was chairman of the DNC who vetted Obama as the candidate that would appear on the ballot.
If you have questions to direct about this particular question please forward them to Nancy Pelosi herself. Don’t ask me I don’t care. To me this issue has been settled and anyone who believes this moronic idiocy is a complete fool.

Oddly enough this morning Obama was named the winner of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. It was given to him due to “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”
OSLO (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for giving the world “hope for a better future” and striving for nuclear disarmament, in a surprise award that drew criticism as well as praise.
The decision to bestow one of the world’s top accolades on a president less than nine months into his first term, who has yet to score a major foreign policy success, provoked gasps of surprise from journalists at the announcement in Oslo.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee praised Obama for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”
As reactions pour in it’s apparent this is a controversial decision by the Nobel Prize committee. It can be said that Obama has not done enough to earn such a distinction. Some have called it absurd, others have called it appauling.
With two current wars going on the receipt of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize by this president is strange indeed.
Scary times ahead? Perhaps, if you take credence in what Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, says.
Paul, who had a strong grassroots following during the 2008 presidential election, explained on Glenn Beck’s Sept. 30 radio program that perilous times lie ahead due to the Federal Reserve’s loose monetary policy. Host Glenn Beck asked how an Israeli strike against Iran might trigger problems with the American financial system.
“What happens when Israel strikes Iran or Iran has the earth rays and we know that they now have a nuclear weapon, what happens to our financial system at that point?” Beck asked.
As usual, Glen Beck is a complete nutjob. But I personally tend to want to listen to Ron Paul. From what I have read and heard from the Republican from Texas, he tends to be pretty accurate.

To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.
This is what a lot of people have been waiting for. Some legislation that would give the government the ability to have a complete audit of the Federal Reserve Bank.From the establishment of the Federal Reserve Bank, the US government has had absolutely no control over it’s currency. It instead has been literaly making loans dollar after dollar after dollar. Each bill of currency itself is a promissory note to the federal reserve on the behalf of the United States government. Promising repayment.
The odd thing is, without a United States Currency of it’s own, there is no real way that the United States Government can ever pay back the loans taken from the Federal Reserve.
This one disgusted me. This was a peaceful protest as far as I could see, the police went ahead and tear gassed the crowd hitting a reporter indiscriminately with the gas as well. Listen to the video, the police said that they had determined that it was an illegal protest. (read: they decided to be judge jury and executioner.
“By order of the city of Pittsburgh police. I hereby declare this to be an unlawful assembly. I order all those assembled to immediately disperse. You must leave the immediate vicinity. If you rem…” (the audio cuts off there and the scene continues with the reporter coughing and really in need of medical attention.)
The above statement was a clear violation of the first amendment of the United States Constitution.
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The police chose instead to commit (in my opinion) several dozen instances of attempted murder by use of a chemical agent.
Although described as a non-lethal weapon for crowd control, many studies have raised doubts about this classification. As well as creating severe pulmonary damage, CS can also significantly damage the heart and liver.[9]
On September 28, 2000, Prof. Dr. Uwe Heinrich released a study commissioned by John C. Danforth, of the United States Office of Special Counsel, to investigate the use of CS by the FBI at the Branch Davidians‘ Mount Carmel compound. He concluded that the lethality of CS used would have been determined mainly by two factors: whether gas masks were used and whether the occupants were trapped in a room. He suggests that if no gas masks were used and the occupants were trapped, then, “…there is a distinct possibility that this kind of CS exposure can significantly contribute to or even cause lethal effects.”[1]
Many reports have associated CS exposure with miscarriages.[9] This is consistent with its reported clastogenic effect (abnormal chromosome change) on mammalian cells.
When CS is metabolized, cyanide can be detected in human tissue.[9] According to the United States Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine, CS emits “very toxic fumes” when heated to decomposition, and at specified concentrations CS gas is an immediate danger to life and health. They also state that those exposed to CS gas should seek medical attention immediately.[2]
I am sure that there are several federal anti terrorism laws as well as state and city statutes against using a known harmful chemical weapon against a civilian population. I am also certain that there are numerous international human rights laws that would be violated if such a person were inclined to research them.
Walking with a sign down a street is not a cause to use chemical restraints against a crowd. From the activity of the reporter he was in no danger from the crowd nor was the crowd any direct threat to the police force in place.
To me the police acted in a cruel and inhumane manner violating not only one of our most precious rights in this country, but needlessly endangering the lives of peaceful protesters. If the police felt that the protesters were in fact violating some law in Pittsburgh, they should have been arrested and then had the opportunity to stand trial for the crimes they were accused of. Instead the police took it upon themselves to convict and sentence these citizens without a trial. Their punishment was a lungful of a known lethal chemical agent.
The act of which if done by any civilian would have that civilian brought up on terrorism charges. Here we have uniformed and sworn protectors of the peace using a tactic that would have anyone else jailed if not executed for crimes against the state. For the crime of exercising these peoples first amendment right to peacefully assemble and protest.
Why is it that TEA party protesters can assemble and protest higher taxes, why is it that Nazi and Klu Klux Klan members can protest, Why is it that everyone except those that are the peasantry can protest?
It is a god given right in this country to go where you will and say what you will, if you have a problem with the government it is your duty to protest against it.
I believe in these protests. I believe in all of them. Because without our right to peacefully protest our grievances against what we feel is wrong we have no freedom. This is the freedom the Pittsburgh police decided to violently take away.

Obama, Ahmadinejad, and Qaddafi all spoke at the UN General Assembly yesterday, Obama’s speech was about how the world needs to step up to the plate and help the US. Saying the US cannot do it alone and that we need our partners, friends, allies, and every nation to step up and play their part in world events.
I took office at a time when many around the world had come to view America with skepticism and distrust. Part of this was due to misperceptions and misinformation about my country. Part of this was due to opposition to specific policies, and a belief that on certain critical issues, America has acted unilaterally, without regard for the interests of others. This has fed an almost reflexive anti-Americanism, which too often has served as an excuse for our collective inaction.
Basically Obama is saying here: I know Bush sucked as a world leader and was more often than not looked upon as a dictator, we apologize for this idiot, thankfully he won’t have to bother anyone else ever again, please forgive America.
I have outlined a comprehensive agenda to seek the goal of a world without nuclear weapons. In Moscow, the United States and Russia announced that we would pursue substantial reductions in our strategic warheads and launchers. At the Conference on Disarmament, we agreed on a work plan to negotiate an end to the production of fissile materials for nuclear weapons. And this week, my Secretary of State will become the first senior American representative to the annual Members Conference of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.
The US has been working with Russia for the last 25 years following the START I treaty to reduce nuclear arms. Several treaties have come and gone sense then, with the ultimate goal of disposing of the world’s nuclear arms altogether. Nations like Iran and North Korea trying to build a nuclear arms program.
Some key things to remember when dealing with the United States and signing treaties. The US does not have a great track record of keeping treaties. (Read: Long Chain of Abuses: Broken Treaties) And we still are the only country to use nuclear weapons in an act of war.
To this date, the US, Russia, France, England and China are all states that have signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)
India, Pakistan, and North Korea, are all states that have not signed the NPT and are known to have nukes.
It is generally believed that Israel has nukes (The real reason they haven’t been overrun by many middle eastern countries that don’t like them very much.)
The idea of mutually assured destruction kept the US and the former Soviet Union from annihilating each other during the cold war. The US is at the forefront of making sure that no other country that we don’t approve of get’s these dangerous weapons of mass destruction.
Mahamoud Ahmadinejad spoke to the security council, several times questioning the United States’ permenent placement in the UN Security Council. Questioning Israel’s right to exist, and defending Iran’s nuclear power research efforts.
Some powers proudly announce their production of second and third generations of nuclear weapons. What do they need these weapons for? Is the development and stockpiling of these deadly weapons designed to promote peace and democracy? Or, are these weapons, in fact, instruments of coercion and threat against other peoples and governments? How long should the people of the world live with the nightmare of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons? What bounds the powers producing and possessing these weapons? How can they be held accountable before the international community? And, are the inhabitants of these countries content with the waste of their wealth and resources for the production of such destructive arsenals? Is it not possible to rely on justice, ethics and wisdom instead of these instruments of death? Aren’t wisdom and justice more compatible with peace and tranquility than nuclear, chemical and biological weapons? If wisdom, ethics and justice prevail, then oppression and aggression will be uprooted, threats will wither away and no reason will remain for conflict. This is a solid proposition because most global conflicts emanate from injustice, and from the powerful, not being contented with their own rights, striving to devour the rights of others.
You have to wonder if he is wrong, the US does continue to develop more and more advanced versions of nuclear weapons.
The roots of the Palestinian problem go back to the Second World War. Under the pretext of protecting some of the survivors of that War, the land of Palestine was occupied through war, aggression and the displacement of millions of its inhabitants; it was placed under the control of some of the War survivors, bringing even larger population groups from elsewhere in the world, who had not been even affected by the Second World War; and a government was established in the territory of others with a population collected from across the world at the expense of driving millions of the rightful inhabitants of the land into a diaspora and homelessness. This is a great tragedy with hardly a precedent in history. Refugees continue to live in temporary refugee camps, and many have died still hoping to one day return to their land. Can any logic, law or legal reasoning justify this tragedy? Can any member of the United Nations accept such a tragedy occurring in their own homeland?
Although researching what Ahmadinejad, said comes up with some truth. Israel was created with the push out of the nation of Palestine. Course WWI saw the destruction of the Ottoman Empire, if it weren’t for the west’s involvement in WWI, Iran would still be under the control of the Ottoman’s.
The Ugly.
Libyan Leader Qaddafi spoke for a blistering hour and a half, ripping up papers, and generally causing a ruckus. I tried several times to find a transcript of what Qaddafi said but each site is a reported hacked site with a particularly nasty virus attached.
